Rochester Flyers

Rochester Flyers is NOT Rochester Minnesota's bicycle messenger service. Rochester Flyers is NOT a cycling club or race team. Rochester Flyers is NOT a bike shop or a company. Rochester Flyers is just me, going on rides, attempting to return to racing, doing alleycats and spewing my opinion online.

May end up riding outside this weekend

Highs above 20 degrees means riding

Looks like Sat. may start off chilly, but will warm up nicely. I may (depending on my household and family duties) go for a nice easy 1.5-2 hr ride mid day or afternoon. Mid day and afternoon rides don't work well usually as I like to get my ride in the morning so I can devote the rest of the day to the family. So I may end up riding in the morning anyway.

And depending on what the plan is on Sunday, I may even get a ride in before the 11 o-clock service at church.

So there's a real possibility that I can get some real milage in, at least for the weekend. It's still too hard to get up early (on weekdays) to ride, when it's both cold AND dark out.

My afternoon class got canceled today, so went for a 25 mile ride. 16F when I left, just under when I got back. That ride kicked my butt so bad, rode 39X20s all the way home. Base miles, right? RIGHT! A route that normally takes about an hour and a half took almost 2. Worst part is, I forgot my granola bars...

Yup, Base miles. Length of time is actually more important than miles anyway.
