Rochester Flyers

Rochester Flyers is NOT Rochester Minnesota's bicycle messenger service. Rochester Flyers is NOT a cycling club or race team. Rochester Flyers is NOT a bike shop or a company. Rochester Flyers is just me, going on rides, attempting to return to racing, doing alleycats and spewing my opinion online.

Let Levi...

Ride. Yeah Levi and all the Astana team should be able to ride. Wherever they want. But as unfair as it seems, ASO can keep Levi (or whoever they want including Rochester Flyers) from racing in the tour day France.

Sounds harsh right? Well too bad! Suck it up. It's not a democracy. It's a private bike race. Actually I could care less about Levi racing. He's not gona win. I would like to see Contador race. I don't see a campaign for him. And he's the reigning champ.

My boy Cadel is gonna finally show how it's done. Yup, I'm saying he's gonna wear yellow in Paris.

It's funny, Trek owns both LetLeviRide.com and LetAstanaRide.com. But they didn't bother to buy LetAlbertoRide.com which was just purchased by some person today 2/28/2008. Guess they don't really care if the current yellow jersey rides.

They should let Levi ride...but not the rest of the team.

That oughta teach them a lesson about specifics.

Oh that would be classic. Let Levi ride, by himself, and see where he ends up on GC. I found out that Trek owns the LetLeviRide.com web site. So it's pretty arrogent (ignorant) on Trek's part to only support one rider and not the whole team you sponsor. Last I heard there were three possible GC contenders on Astana, and no clear cut leader. Contador? Kloden? Heck even Horner has a decent chance of being on the podium. I think the campaign is terrible. Sure ASO seems crazy to single out one team that has (at least on the top surface) changed everything about the program. But that's thier business. Maybe I'd be a little more supportive if the campaign was more of a let Astana race, or let the team of the current yellow jersey race. But in the end, I still have a feeling that Contador will start his bid to defend the yellow jersey. But don't quote me on that.
